The IP3 System cube becomes Epakub in France

Only for the cube, the company IP3 Concept and the company Epalia chose together the brand Epakub to distribute the IP3 System cube in France.

Resistant, an IP3 System® block/cube can resist to up to 600 kg

IP3 System cardboard blocks

IP3 Concept conducted breaking-strength tests to up to 600 kg per block. Of course, the paper quality and the cardboard corrugation are determining. We can make it more or less resistant!

500 kg of breaking load per IP3 System cube is already considerable since on each IP3 System European standard size pallet (1200x800mm) 9 cubes are recommended. Therefore, giving the pallet a resistance to about 4 500kg. Most flow of goods on pallet weight about 350 kg. This has led us to adapt the cardboard quantity necessary to meet a good part of the demands. The cardboard quality to make the pallet sheet is also very important.

Therefore, we recommend the standard IP3 System block with the following performances:

-  Dynamic load                                           70 kg per block

-  Static load                                                180 kg per block

-  Starts breaking at                                    450 kg par plot (selon conditions)

- The quality of the floor can be optimized depending on the load distribution            need

The standard IP3 System blocks are humidity resistant thanks to their mechanically sealed system but also thanks to a Kraft sheet placed on the outside of the block. This standard block is non limitative because we can increase the paper density to heighten the resistance but also simply put two blocks side by side to double the resistance. The advantages of doubling the blocks are very interesting. Several treatments are possible to work in a humid environment. For a total sealing, we recommend leaner type exterior sheets or treatments suited for cardboard.

Do not hesitate to contact us for further explanation.

Many technical possibilities

Our assembled block solutions are numerous and many others are still to be discovered.

We designed a standard 130x95x100mm size cube that meets most current needs.

Then we added the possibility to print it easily. In this respect, we already offer a basic marking on 4 faces using our IP3 System Module 1.

We can play with the cube’s elements like its composition to reach the right value for your need. It is thus possible to provide the hull with a leaner and to leave the reinforcement cross-brace and the locking key in a standard composition. Another example: it is also possible to withdraw the reinforcement cross-brace in certain cases, especially for stalking pallets, in order to really offer the right value needed for hypermarkets for instance.

The self-adhesive IP3 System cubes can eliminate sheets in certain cases like display or pallet boxes. Wedging with cubes is also possible, eliminating potentially wooden, foam or plastic wedging.
